As a fishing boat, we’ve found the Mc Lay superb. It’s such a beamy beast and, at 6.3m overall, it’s a real 20-footer. There’s stacks of cockpit space, helped by the pod-mounted outboard installation, and storage, is sensibly thought out. The locking cuddy is an excellent idea. It’s easy enough to access and ideal storage for rods, clothes and other items which need to be kept dry. The V-berth is excellent with an infill squab. A rocket launcher with extra rod holders which folds down for storage .
